How to beat Northwest cabin fever
We Northwesterners celebrate “Spring Fever” every February among 30 display gardens, 100 free seminars and workshops, and thousands of treasures in the garden marketplace, all in the new Seattle Convention Center, downtown. It’s a destination!
” The Northwest Flower & Garden Festival is one of the best annual events to gather ideas and inspiration for beautiful living spaces. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting to dig in the dirt, there’s something for everyone! “
Ciscoe Morris, Retired Master Gardener & TV Host
As the second largest garden show in the country, the Northwest Flower & Garden Show draws visitors from around the globe. Seminar speakers join us from as far away as Rhode Island, Canada, and even England while attracting attendees from Alaska, Florida, Ireland, Boston, and many more cities.
When I work at a booth I bump into many of the same folks year after year. It can get wild, too. The only ones with more ‘characters’ are the Alaska State Fairs.
The scale of the operation is daunting when vendors start to arrive. There are still massive loaders moving tons of soils & bark, and the named forklifts are still in the hall. But luckily everyone seems to get along every year and the hassles are few.
The finished gardens are worth the it as the below money shot shows .
